I'm back on the 23 things bandwagon. I had some sort of weird block against completing the 3rd lesson but I'm over it now. I'm totally excited that the deadline was extended to give us procratinators even more time! :)
I'm supposed to be writing about something technology related.... I'm completely in love with my new ipod Nano, an early Christmas present from my sister's family. I spent 2 hours last Saturday figuring out how to download audiobooks to my ipod. It's not really that hard it just takes awhile to download the Overdrive interface and the rest of the software. I was kind of disappointed in the ipod compatible selection of audiobooks for teens but hopefully we'll be getting more titles soon.

Lifelong Learning
I consider myself to be a lifelong learner already but the 7 1/2 Habits of Lifelong Learners training did give me some ideas of what I need to do to achieve specific goals. One of things I want to work on is being more comfortable with using flickr to document my programs. I guess the easiest habit for me is the first habit- "begin with an end in mind". I find it easy to come up with ideas for things and new skills I want to learn but I don't always have a plan for how I'm going to acheive those goals. The most difficult habit, I suppose would be Habit 6, using technology to my advantage. I love to use computers for research but I'm not always interested in new technologies designed to help me organize my information or creating my own digital content. I hope this training will help me to become more comfortable with using social networking sites and services like flickr in my professional life.
