Lifelong Learning

I consider myself to be a lifelong learner already but the 7 1/2 Habits of Lifelong Learners training did give me some ideas of what I need to do to achieve specific goals. One of things I want to work on is being more comfortable with using flickr to document my programs. I guess the easiest habit for me is the first habit- "begin with an end in mind". I find it easy to come up with ideas for things and new skills I want to learn but I don't always have a plan for how I'm going to acheive those goals. The most difficult habit, I suppose would be Habit 6, using technology to my advantage. I love to use computers for research but I'm not always interested in new technologies designed to help me organize my information or creating my own digital content. I hope this training will help me to become more comfortable with using social networking sites and services like flickr in my professional life.

I'm not as connected to technology as most of my colleagues and co-workers, so I'm really looking forward to learning what is out there, and how to use it. Technology advances at such a rapid pace, it's scary. but, I'm determined to view the problem (what is out there) as a challenge, and to remember to think of the 23 Things exercise as a building effort--I'll do it one step at a time!

Hello Heidi! How's the working with Flickr coming along?

I hope you'll be doing some more of the 23 Things. I'd really like you to qualify for the nifty prizes we'll be offering.

Contact Did, Rolf, Adam, Jody or Sandra if you need help with the lessons!
